Privacy Policy — Miami Kids Magazine App

Miami Kids Magazine App (the "App") is provided by Miami Kids LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1) Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Account information: When you sign in (Firebase Auth / Google Sign-In), we collect your name and email.
• Profile information you add: phone number and ZIP code (used for in-app features you choose to use).

b) Information collected automatically

We do not use analytics SDKs. The App and its providers may receive minimal technical data necessary to provide the service (e.g., IP address for routing and security, device/OS/app version logs on errors).

c) Third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile info (name, email, provider-specific user ID) per the provider's terms.

d) Sensitive data & permissions

The App does not request or use precise location, camera, microphone, media library, or push notifications. We do not knowingly collect government IDs, financial account numbers, health data, or other special-category data.

2) How We Use Information

• Provide and operate the App (account creation, authentication).
• Deliver features you request (e.g., showing profile info you've entered).
• Maintain security and prevent fraud.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use your information for personalized advertising or remarketing.

3) Legal Bases (if you are in the EEA/UK)

Where applicable, we rely on: Contract (to provide the App you requested); Legitimate interests (security, preventing abuse, improving reliability); and Consent where required by law.

4) Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information.

We share information only with:

• Service providers (processors): e.g., Google Firebase (authentication and hosting of related services). These providers may access data solely to perform services for us and must protect it.
• Legal/compliance: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
• Business transfers: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred per this policy.

We do not share data with advertising partners and have no sponsorship/partner data sharing program.

5) Children's Privacy

The App is a general-audience app and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (U.S.) / 16 (EEA/UK). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at karla@miamikidsmagazine.com and we will delete it.

6) Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When it is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or anonymize it.

7) Your Choices & Rights

• View/update profile: You can view or update certain info in the App.
• Account & data deletion: Use the in-app "Delete Account" button to request deletion of your account and associated personal data. We will complete deletion subject to any legal retention requirements.
• EEA/UK users: You may have rights to access, correct, delete, object, restrict processing, and data portability; and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8) International Transfers

We may process and store information in countries where we or our service providers (e.g., United States for Firebase) operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for data transferred from the EEA/UK.

9) Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption in transit, restricted access). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Third-Party Services

Your use of third-party services integrated with the App is governed by their own policies. Key service providers include:

• Google Firebase (Authentication; and hosting of related services used strictly for auth and core functionality).

11) Do Not Track

We do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals. We honor applicable consent/opt-out mechanisms where required by law.

12) Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The updated version will be indicated by a new "Last updated" date and will be effective when posted in the App or on https://www.miamikidsmagazine.com/.
